Amboseli National Park lies in the North West at Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the Kenyan border with Tanzania. The park covers 392 km² and forms part of the much larger 3,000 km² Amboseli Eco-system. Large concentrations and variety of wildlife inhabit this arid savanna, making Amboseli a popular tourist destination. Amboseli is the place where you can watch elephants with the snow-capped Kilimanjaro as the background.

The main road into the Park from Nairobi is via Emali (228 km) on the Nairobi – Mombasa road. The other road is via Namanga (240 km) on the Nairobi – Arusha road. It takes approximately 4 hours by road to reach Sentrim Amboseli from Nairobi and 50 minutes by air. The camp is 15 km from the airstrip. Access from Mombasa is on the Mombasa – Nairobi highway via Emali to Kimana gate.
Generally hot and dry fanned by a cool breeze. Long rains are anticipated from mid-April to May and the short rains from November to early December. Minimum temperature of 18°C and maximum of 33°C
